A major gear change occurred when Sophie Ecclestone removed both openers in her first two overs, causing the run rate to slow right down. Pressure built, sparking a middle-order collapse where the GGXI lost 4/7 in a span of 4 overs. Ecclestone was the pick of the bowlers, snagging 3/27 from 5 overs before one last shower put an end to proceedings for the day.
