They made light work of Australia A's tail in the morning, but a few big hits from Josh Philippe (who finished 120 off 121) got the hosts to 9/373 before they declared to have a crack at their opposition before lunch. That proved a good decision as they took 2/10 in the 5 overs before the break. Only three batters passed 15 and their lower order completely fell away, losing 6/10 to be bowled out for 116. Something clicked between innings, because after they were forced to follow-on, England Lions looked a completely different side. They raced to 0/106 at more than 5 runs per over, but Jordan Buckingham took 2 wickets in the final few overs to halt some of that momentum at the end of the day. Australia A still lead by 141 but it looks more likely they'll have to bat again after seeing the way England Lions started their second innings.
