New South Wales gave it a crack but Victoria's tail added a few too many for them to chase down, the visitors win this one by 29 runs. Victoria's top order accumulated all got starts, but it was Player of the Match Georgia Prestwige's cameo of 53 not out from 31 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes that propelled them to a very respectable total of 259. Georgia Adams and Erin Burns too 3 wickets each for NSW. The run chase got off to a slow start, before Anika Learoyd led the home side's surge back into the game , supported by Erin Burns (44) and Sarah Coyte (29 from 18 balls). However when Learoyd fell for 58 in the 46th over to a great outfield catch, there was too much for the tail to do and the game ended shortly after. Victoria will be very pleased with the start to their tournament as New South Wales fall to 2 wins and 2 losses before all teams take a break for the T20 Spring Challenge and WBBL.
